What should I wear to a medieval festival?

At minimum, period-appropriate clothing; for reenactment or combat displays, add a riveted mail haubergeon, a fitted helm and a good belt. Check whether the event is a relaxed market or a strict living-history camp.

Which country has the best medieval reenactment?

Each excels differently: Germany for markets and LARP, Poland for spectacle (Grunwald, Wolin), France for historic-town médiévales, Spain for medieval and Roman festivals, Switzerland for scenic castle events.

Do I need authentic armour for a medieval market?

Not always — many markets welcome casual visitors and light costume. Reenactment camps and combat displays, however, expect authentic, riveted kit to their published standards.
